FORTA-FERRO is a high-performance concrete reinforcement fiber made from 100% virgin polypropylene. It combines two types of fibers: a twisted bundle of monofilament and a network of fibrillating fibers. This blend enhances the concrete's strength by reducing shrinkage, improving impact resistance, and boosting durability. The fiber is designed to offer long-lasting performance, improve crack control, and withstand harsh conditions without corroding or reacting to alkalinity.

This patented fiber is actually a blend of two fibers:

  • A standard fibrillated polypropylene fiber is used to minimize and manage shrinkage and temperature-related cracks in concrete.
  • FORTA-FERRO is a very durable fiber made from a tough synthetic copolymer, designed to enhance load-bearing and performance after cracks form. This fiber comes in long lengths (2-1/4 inches) and is used in large amounts (3.0 to 30 lbs. per cubic yard) to provide stronger reinforcement compared to standard synthetic fibers. Known as "Strong as Steel," FORTA-FERRO is also easy to work with and is highly regarded as one of the best fibers for mixing and finishing in the industry.
